I have learn’t a lot since I started Kiteboarding in 2002 and there is nothing I like more than sharing some of those things with you.

I love to work with a variety of abilities from those who have recently started the sport to advanced riders looking to add some more tricks to their repertoire. From learning your first backroll, to improving your jump technique, I will help you progress - talking you through it step by step with my 2 way bbtalkin intercom devices. It is a lot of fun!

BKSA Coach being the highest level of instructor within the British Kitesports syllabus.

What can you expect?

COMFORT

I stock 5 different sizes of the comfortable BERN helmets (XS/S/M/L/XL). Each comes equipped with Bb TALKIN intercom, allowing us 2 way communication for up to a mile on the water. Helmet hire is including in my coaching cost.

You on camera!

Sometimes you don’t realise what you are doing until you see it yourself. I want you to see where you are going right, and where you might be going wrong. I ride with the latest GoPro on hand and will gather imagery and videos from our session.

DEBREIF

After each session along with the media recorded, you will receive a debrief on what we covered during our session. I will also advise you on techniques to practise whilst riding during your next sessions.

Terms and conditions

1. Delivering a high standard of coaching is of utmost importance to me, however due to the nature of the sport, weather and safety is a key element which needs to be considered. 

2. Safety will always be my priority and therefore I reserve the right to cease a coaching session at any time if safety is compromised. 

3. Coaching sessions are weather dependent, confirmation of the coaching session will be given via text, email or a phone call one day before the scheduled coaching session. 

   a) If there is an uncertain forecast, you will be notified of this and a dynamic decision will be made on the day of the coaching session. 

   b) If the forecast displays unsuitable weather which will affect the productivity of the coaching session or one’s safety, coaching will be cancelled, another date will be rescheduled or alternatively you may receive a credit note. 

4. Bookings are confirmed on receipt of a 50% deposit. Full payment may also be made prior to the session via and EFT payment, alternatively the balance may be paid in cash on the day before the coaching session. The coaching session will not commence until full payment is received. 

5. Should a coaching session be cancelled from my end due to unfavourable weather or operational matters, I will reschedule an alternative date or provide you with a credit note. 

6. If the coaching session has started but has to be terminated before the end of the booked session due changes in the weather, we will reschedule another date in order to complete the session. 

7. Cancellations from the customer must be made three days prior to the coaching session in order to be offered an alternative date or a credit. 

   a) Cancellations made closer than three days will occur a 25% loss of deposit.

   b) Cancellations made 24hrs before the coaching session will occur in a full los of the 50% deposit.  

   c) The coaching session will begin promptly on the agreed time, lateness will not be made up for in time at the end of the session. If you do not show up for the coaching session, you will not receive a refunded deposit. 

8. Credit notes issued will be valid for 12 months. 

9. Students should arrive 15minutes before their scheduled coaching session, with their gear setup ready to begin coaching on time. Lateness will not be made up for at the end of the session. 

10. I operate my coaching sessions within recognising/ governing bodies – the BKSA, alongside my own risk assessments and procedures, with a full third-party liability insurance cover. My decisions on safety and activity will be made according to their guidelines. 

11. All students must be aware of the dangers of the sport and notify me of any relevant medical history and conditions and participate in the coaching session entirely at their own risk. 

12. Students unable to swim will not be permitted to book any coaching sessions. 

Vouchers

1. Vouchers are available for 12 months from purchase for the person issued to. The ownership of the voucher may be changed with written notice. 

2. No refunds will be offered on any vouchers purchased or expired. 

3. I request cancellations no later than three days prior to the coaching session. Cancellations received after three days will be treated as per general coaching ts & cs, section 7 (a &b ).
